Weaving modern fairytales...
One of the stories about the name of the Forget-Me-Not is that a young German couple were taking a stroll by the Danube. The young bride admires a cluster of flowers, and her fiancé goes forward to to pick them for her, but he falls into the river. Before he is carried away by the turbulent waters, he throws the flowers at the feet of his beloved, and cries out “Vergiss mein nicht!”
